Senior Consultant - SAP-SAP ABAP Gateway (Odata)

Bristlecone India Limited is seeking a seasoned Senior Consultant with deep expertise in SAP ABAP and OData services to join our S4 HANA Technical - Delivery team. The role involves end-to-end development, enhancement, debugging, and production support of ABAP-based interfaces and gateways, ensuring high-quality delivery for complex enterprise solutions.

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP ABAP Gateway and OData service creation.
• Proven experience with enhancements, BAPI, IDoc, and RFC interfaces.
• Solid debugging skills and experience in production support environments.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA architecture and migration concepts.
• Familiarity with SAP UI5/Fiori is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., ABAP, OData) preferred.

• Design, develop, and maintain OData services using SAP ABAP Gateway.
• Implement enhancements, custom reports, and interfaces in ABAP for S/4HANA landscapes.
• Perform root-cause analysis, debugging, and resolution of production issues.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce SAP best practices and coding standards.
• Provide on-site and remote production support for critical SAP applications.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning activities.
• Create technical documentation, test cases, and user guides.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Assist in architectural decisions and contribute to solution design workshops.
