Senior Consultant - Procurement (Forecasting & Quantitative Analytics)

JOB SPECIFICATION

Position: Senior Consultant - Procurement

Location: Gurgaon /Mumbai

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all activities related to sourcing/procurement assignments. The assignments will include conducting Market Intelligence (MI) study, BCCS study, building cost models, price forecasting etc

- Collect, clean, and analyze historical pricing and market data from internal and external databases.

- Develop and maintain forecasting models using statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques.

- Evaluate multiple forecasting approaches and optimize model accuracy through back-testing and validation.

- Monitor model performance and continuously refine forecasting methodologies.

- Conduct qualitative market analysis by tracking macroeconomic trends, supply-demand dynamics, raw material movements, geopolitical events, and industry developments.

- Identify key price drivers and build commodity-specific forecasting frameworks.

- Develop composite cost models for products without direct market indices.

- Collaborate with technology teams to build and enhance the AI-based Price Forecasting Platform, including dashboards, automation, and model deployment

- Prepare market outlooks, forecast reports, and client presentations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- 4 or more years of relevant experience

- Strong knowledge of time-series forecasting, econometrics, statistics, and machine learning.

- Proficiency in Excel and any data visualization tools (optional).

- Experience with forecasting libraries.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Experience in commodity markets, procurement analytics, supply chain analytics, or industrial sectors is preferred.
