Senior Commissioning Engineer

Job Purpose

Ensures that commissioning tasks assigned are properly implemented as per work standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure PPE, PTW and HSE requirements are followed at worksite

Prepare and write testing procedures when required

Implement and test subsystems per project commissioning test sheets

Organize and perform instrument commissioning, SAT, loop and functional tests

Work on APC, DCS, PLC and ESD control systems

Assist in database preparation for pre-commissioning status index

Report to line superior per project organization chart

Lead a team of technicians to undertake commissioning activities

Interface with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities

Prepare method statements, procedures and routines where required

Report on work progress, flag potential problems or delays and recommend solutions

Plan, monitor and assist in vendor activities

Ensure temporary supplies and commissioning spares are adequate for subsystem testing

Perform inter-discipline checks

Identify design failures and lessons learned

Comply with HSE standards

Reports to: Senior Project Commissioning Manager. Supervises: Discipline Supervisors and Technicians.
