Senior Cobol Programmer

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Learn and maintain legacy systems
•  Design, develop, test, implement and document software applications. 
•  Assure that all work performed on projects adheres to standards. 
•  Work with limited direction on assignments. 
•  Develop and support custom applications Coding fixes and new software development

Job Requirements :

• Strong experience in Cobol programming running under version DOS/ VSE operating system 
•  Familiarity with one or more programming languages
•  Familiarity with standard development techniques (SDLC, OOD)
•  10+ years mainframe experience utilizing COBOL, VSAM and other mainframe tools Seeking self-starter with unyielding work ethic and motivation to learn a competitive business.
•  Excellent communication/documentation skills Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
•  Customer Service oriented Strong analyzing and problem-solving abilities
•  Attention to detail

•  Languages: IBM Cobol, Skill set required: Cobal, VSAM , Quikjobs and other Mainframe Tools
•  OS: DOS/VSE 
• Preferred Shift time: General shift and during KT i.e for 2 week from (1PM to 10PM )
