The Opportunity
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to support the delivery of civil engineering design on infrastructure projects. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and under the guidance of senior engineers, the role will contribute to the development of safe, compliant, and well‑coordinated design solutions, with a focus on utilities such as water, electricity, telecoms, and highways‑related works
Key Responsibilities
Supports the development of civil engineering designs, drawings, calculations and technical documentation under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves assisting with utilities and highway design, coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams, preparing reports and design responses, and carrying out quality checks to ensure compliance with project standards. Responsibilities also include developing and verifying 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D, maintaining BIM-compliant deliverables, and continuously building technical knowledge and project delivery experience through collaboration with senior team members.

Is this role right for you
- Degree in Utilities, Civil or Infrastructure Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in civil engineering design gained through infrastructure, utilities or related projects.
- Good working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and awareness of BIM processes and standards.
- Understanding of UK design standards, regulations and approval procedures.
- Ability to contribute to drainage, highways and infrastructure design projects while continuously developing technical skills.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments
- Working towards professional accreditation with ICE or a similar institution, supported through mentoring and training..
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused professional with a proactive approach, sound judgement and commitment to safety, continuous learning and professional development..
