The Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Initiate and oversee specific design tasks performed by engineers relating to onshore structural engineering analysis and associated substructures.
• Supervision of structural engineers.
• Technical competence of structural personnel.
• Forecast requirement for structural engineering resources and allocate those resources.
• Structural design integrity of work scope and maintenance of standards.
• Identify structural software necessary to enable structural group to function effectively.
• Interdisciplinary communication development.
• Structural group communication development.
• Manage structural discipline man hour estimates to perform project tasks.
• Check compliance with Alliance QA/safety/environment goals.
• Manage structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
• Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.
• Promote career development within the group.
• Technical supervision of project designated structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.
• Review weekly structural progress and expenditure reports on a project specific basis.
• Benchmark structural design/drafting to identify areas of improvements.
• Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
• Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
  
  

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• BE /B.Tech Civil Engineering or ME /M.Tech Structural Engineering is required.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is preferred.
• 14+ years minimum experience, involved in conceptual studies, FEED and detailed design.
• 10 years min exp into Oil and Gas Industry experience.
• Require experience in working in a structural engineering team within a large multi discipline project team.
• The role mandates previous experience in design of onshore plant facilities involving structural steel and concrete structures.
• A comprehensive understanding of structural analysis in the areas of design of pipe rack, technological structures, platforms, equipment supports, pipe supports, equipment platforms, civil facilities (roads, paving, drain networks) is essential.
• Focus on Modularization. Familiarity with international codes and standards are essential. Hands on experience of structural design software's and foundation design software's including dynamic analysis (Staad Pro., FDN 3D,
• Mat 3D, RCDC, IDEA Statica, RAM Connection).
