Senior Civil and Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural engineering design activities during FEED and detailed engineering stages.
• Carry out analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures for petrochemical/process facilities.
• Design and review pipe racks, technological structures, equipment support structures, platforms, shelters and miscellaneous steel structures.
• Design foundations for static and rotating equipment, vessels, columns, tanks, compressors, pumps and other process equipment.
• Prepare/review civil works associated with roads, paving, drainage, underground structures and other plant infrastructure as required.
• Perform structural analysis considering dead, live, wind, seismic, equipment, piping and other applicable loads.
• Prepare and review design calculations, engineering specifications, design criteria, drawings, MTOs and technical documentation.
• Review vendor drawings and equipment information to incorporate structural and foundation requirements into the design.
• Coordinate closely with Piping, Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, HSE and Project Engineering teams.
• Participate in interdisciplinary model and drawing reviews and resolve design/interface issues.
• Review engineering deliverables prepared by consultants, contractors and vendors for compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, client requirements and applicable international codes and standards.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction and site execution when required.
• Identify design risks, constructability issues and opportunities for design optimization and cost reduction.

• FEED and Detailed Engineering deliverables
• Engineering drawings, specifications and design calculations
• Interdisciplinary engineering interfaces and 3D model reviews

Software exposure: STAAD.Pro / ETABS / SAFE / SAP2000 or equivalent structural analysis software; AutoCAD and relevant engineering/design applications.

Codes & Standards: Working knowledge of applicable ACI, AISC, ASCE, ASTM and other relevant international/local codes and standards.
