Senior Chemical Engineer

Role & responsibilities :

• To go through the enquiries received from customer and suitably size the compressor and prepare the technical offer. To reply to customer queries and fill up the data sheets received from the customer.
• Prepare and approve process design calculations for compressor packages: thermodynamic duty, stage sizing, pressure drop, heat load and gas properties.
• Develop and sign off P&IDs, PFDs, line sizing schedules, equipment data sheets and instrument lists.
• Design and specify auxiliary systems: intercoolers and aftercoolers, oil-gas separators, moisture separators, air dryers, receivers, filtration and lubrication circuits.
• Select and technically evaluate bought-out items such as heat exchangers, valves, safety relief devices and instrumentation; review vendor offers and drawings.
• Define performance test procedures and witness factory acceptance tests; analyse test data against guaranteed parameters and close deviations.
• Lead root-cause analysis on process-related field failures and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in HAZOP, risk assessment and safety reviews for new packages and plant utilities.
• Support costing and technical bid clarification for customer enquiries alongside sales and projects teams.

Skills and attributes:

• Strong command of process calculations, mass and energy balance, and compressible flow fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS or ChemCAD, and of AutoCAD for P&ID review.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly practices, with a hands-on approach and comfort working closely with production, quality, and testing teams.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical GA drawings, piping isometrics and electrical schematics.

Preferred candidate profile :

Candidates from compressor, pump, process equipment, air separation, refrigeration or industrial gas manufacturing will be a strong fit.

Job Location, Working Conditions & Benefits :

• Location: Greater Noida factory; full-time, permanent, plant-based role.
• Working Days: 6 days a week, general shift; 2nd and 4th Saturdays off.
• Travel: Customer site visits and occasional overseas travel, as required.
