Senior CBDC DTSP DevOps Support Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Support Engineer to manage, operate, and support the CBDC Distributed Token Service Platform (DTSP) deployed in a bank’s on-premises private cloud environment. The candidate will be responsible for production support, deployment management, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, DR readiness, and coordination with bank, infrastructure, security, and application teams. The role requires strong experience in DevOps, Linux administration, container platforms, middleware, databases, monitoring tools, and production support for mission-critical financial systems. Prior experience in CBDC, DLT/blockchain platforms, banking payment systems, or regulated BFSI infrastructure will be highly preferred. Key ResponsibilitiesCBDC DTSP Operations & Support

• Manage day-to-day operations of the CBDC DTSP node deployed in the bank’s private cloud.
• Provide L1/L2 support for DTSP-related incidents, service requests, deployment issues, and production defects.
• Support CBDC Retail and Wholesale environments across UAT, Production, and DR.
• Ensure availability, performance, and stability of DTSP services and dependent components.
• Coordinate with RTSP, PSO, bank infrastructure, application, database, network, and security teams for issue resolution.
• Support DTSP to RTSP synchronization, token movement, reporting, and operational workflows. DevOps, Deployment & Environment Management
• Deploy, configure, and maintain CBDC components across UAT, Production, and DR environments.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, release deployments, rollback plans, configuration updates, and environment readiness.
• Maintain primary production and disaster recovery node setup as per bank requirements.
• Support infrastructure sizing, environment setup, API prerequisites, and component-level configuration.
• Ensure deployment documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and operational checklists are maintained. Infrastructure & Middleware Support
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based environments such as RHEL, Oracle Linux, or equivalent.
• Support containerization platforms deployed as part of the bank’s private cloud.
• Manage and troubleshoot open-source and middleware components such as:
• Redis / KeyDB
• Kafka
• RabbitMQ
• MongoDB
• MariaDB
• DLT platform components
• Grafana
• Kibana / ELK stack
• Support installation, maintenance, patch upgrades, re-installation, and recovery of required software components. Monitoring, Observability & Incident Management
• Set up and manage monitoring dashboards, alerts, logs, and health checks for CBDC services.
• Monitor service uptime, system logs, queue status, API failures, sync failures, transaction processing issues, and infra-level alerts.
• Perform root cause analysis for incidents and recurring issues.
• Ensure timely incident response, escalation, resolution, and RCA documentation.
• Track SLA compliance and support audit requirements. Security, Compliance & Audit Support
• Support closure of IS audit observations, VAPT findings, and security hardening requirements.
• Coordinate with bank security teams for vulnerability remediation, patching, access reviews, and compliance checks.
• Ensure secure configuration of servers, containers, databases, middleware, APIs, and monitoring tools.
• Support data security, integrity, and operational compliance requirements as per bank guidelines.
• Maintain access control, secrets management, certificate management, and key operational controls. DR, Backup & Business Continuity
• Support DR node setup, failover readiness, replication checks, and DR drills.
• Maintain backup and restoration procedures for relevant CBDC platform components.
• Participate in scheduled DR testing and production resilience exercises.
• Ensure recovery procedures are documented and tested. Reconciliation & Reporting Support
• Support reconciliation processes involving CBDC transactions, DTSP, RTSP, and bank systems.
• Assist in generating operational reports, exception reports, sync-status reports, and incident reports.
• Support investigation of transaction mismatches, token sync issues, duplicate token alerts, counterfeit token alerts, or reconciliation fallouts. Change Management
• Support new changes, enhancements, patches, and upgrades suggested by NPCI, RBI, bank, or regulatory bodies.
• Assist in implementation of future CBDC capabilities such as offline CBDC, programmable CBDC, and cross-border CBDC use cases.
• Follow formal change management processes including impact assessment, testing, approval, deployment, and rollback. Required Skills & ExperienceMandatory Skills
• 6–10+ years of experience in DevOps, production support, infrastructure support, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration.
• Experience with containerized environments and private cloud platforms.
• Experience supporting production-grade BFSI or payment systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across application, middleware, database, network, and infrastructure layers.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Kibana, ELK, Prometheus, or similar.
• Experience with middleware such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, KeyDB, or equivalent.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MariaDB, Oracle, or similar.
• Understanding of CI/CD, release management, rollback, patching, and configuration management.
• Strong knowledge of incident management, problem management, RCA, and SLA-driven support.
• Ability to work with bank infrastructure, security, application, database, and network teams. Preferred Skills
• Prior experience with CBDC, DTSP, RTSP, payment systems, UPI, token platforms, or digital currency platforms.
• Experience with DLT/blockchain infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with technology guidelines or BFSI compliance expectations.
• Experience with HSM/SSM, key management, certificate management, and secure wallet/token infrastructure.
• Experience with bank integrations such as CBS, UPI, eKYC, OTP, SMS gateway, ATM switch, Aadhaar Vault, or similar systems.
• Experience supporting on-premises private cloud deployments in regulated environments. Educational Qualification
• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in Linux, Kubernetes, DevOps, cloud, security, ITIL, or blockchain will be an added advantage. Desired Candidate Profile

• Onsite support may be required at bank location after go-live.
