Senior C # . NET Developer - Azure AI Search and Azure Functions

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior C#/.NET Developer with strong Azure development experience to work on an AI-powered Search and Knowledge platform using Microsoft Azure services.

The role will involve developing and enhancing Azure AI Search capabilities, including indexers, skillsets, semantic ranking, vector/hybrid search and AI-powered data processing. The developer will also work with Azure Functions, C#/.NET APIs and Microsoft AI services.

Experience with Microsoft AI Foundry / Foundry IQ is an advantage, but it is not mandatory. Candidates with strong C#/.NET and Azure development skills who are comfortable learning new AI technologies will also be considered.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in C# / .NET / .NET Core
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions
• Experience building REST APIs / backend services
• Good understanding of Azure AI Search / Azure Cognitive Search
• Experience with search indexing concepts and data ingestion
• Strong software development and debugging skills
• Ability to understand and work with new Azure AI technologies

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and APIs using C#/.NET
• Design, develop and maintain Azure Functions
• Work extensively with Azure AI Search
• Develop and configure Search Indexes, Indexers, Data Sources and Skillsets
• Implement and optimize Semantic Search and Semantic Ranker
• Work with Vector Search and Hybrid Search
• Build AI-powered search and retrieval workflows
• Work with document/data ingestion and enrichment pipelines
• Integrate Azure AI services and LLM-based capabilities
• Work with Microsoft AI Foundry / Foundry IQ where applicable
• Troubleshoot search relevance, indexing and data-processing issues
• Collaborate with architects and other engineering teams to design scalable Azure solutions
• Write clean, maintainable and production-ready code
• Participate in code reviews, testing and technical documentation
