Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of Business Systems Analysis, Healthcare IT Consulting, IT Strategy, or Technology Transformation experience.
• Experience supporting Epic implementations, EHR modernization initiatives, or large-scale healthcare technology transformations.
• Strong understanding of application portfolio management, system rationalization, or decommissioning programs.
• Experience evaluating third-party software vendors and technology contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct process analysis, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions.
• Experience developing governance frameworks, decision matrices, prioritization models, and business cases.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across IT, operations, procurement, legal, and finance organizations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and executive-facing consulting skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Epic implementation experience within a health system, payer, or academic medical center.
• Experience with vendor consolidation, application rationalization, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of healthcare procurement, supply chain operations, and contract lifecycle management.
• PMP, CBAP, PMI-PBA, Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable certifications.
• Experience building cost-savings analyses and ROI models for technology initiatives.
• Consulting background within large healthcare organizations.

Job Description

• The Senior Business Systems Analyst will support a large-scale Epic implementation by leading the assessment and planning efforts for the retirement of legacy third-party applications and vendor contracts. This individual will inventory and analyze existing systems, identify candidates for decommissioning, evaluate vendor agreements and contractual obligations, develop governance frameworks and prioritization criteria, and establish processes for tracking and managing contract-related activities. Working closely with IT, finance, procurement, legal, and operational stakeholders, the analyst will create decommissioning roadmaps, resource plans, and financial impact assessments while identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring all activities align with the broader Epic transformation strategy and implementation timeline.
• This role requires a blend of business analysis, contract and vendor management, governance development, financial assessment, and healthcare IT transformation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting EHR implementations, application rationalization initiatives, system retirement programs, or technology modernization efforts within large healthcare organizations.
