Role Description The Senior Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Saharanpur, responsible for driving business growth and strengthening SBI Life's market presence in the region. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing and expanding relationships with agents, corporate partners, and other distribution channels, and achieving sales and revenue targets. The Senior Business Development Manager will monitor local market trends, plan and execute business development strategies, and support promotional activities and customer engagement initiatives. Daily responsibilities include coaching and motivating the sales team, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies, tracking performance metrics, and preparing regular reports for regional leadership. The role also includes collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve processes, enhance customer experience, and implement digital tools and solutions for sales and service effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Strong business development and sales management capabilities, including experience in target achievement, pipeline management, and market expansion.
• Proficiency in relationship management and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to build and maintain partnerships with agents, corporate clients, and distribution networks.
• Solid analytical and strategic planning skills, including market analysis, data-driven decision making, and performance tracking.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams and partners.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Knowledge of the life insurance or financial services sector, including basic understanding of protection, savings, pension, and health products (experience in insurance sales or distribution is highly preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Comfort with using digital platforms and CRM tools for sales tracking, reporting, and customer management.
• Ability to work on-site in Saharanpur, with readiness
