2. Key Role Requirements

A. Experience Expectations

• Candidates with 4+ years of experience preferred.
• Even junior candidates can be considered if they have hands-on BlackLine experience.
• Experience should be technical, not purely operational.

3. Mandatory BlackLine Experience

A. Technical Skills

The candidate must:

• Work on data extraction from SAP and uploading into BlackLine.
• Understand FBW and how data moves from SAP into BlackLine.
• Run and troubleshoot In-Transit Runs for all templates.
• Identify and resolve issues in data flow from SAP to BlackLine.
• Have experience with BlackLine admin activities.

B. BlackLine Templates Knowledge

Candidate must understand frequently used templates, including:

1. Generalist Match Template
2. Matching Account Analysis (MAA) Template
3. Internal Bank Templates
4. External Bank Templates
5. Intercompany Templates
6. Generalist AP/AR Match Templates
7. Other BlackLine templates (BlackLine has ~1215 templates)

C. BlackLine Modules

Candidate should be aware of:

• General Ledger Module
• Reconciliation Module
• Matching Module (used for:
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Internal bank
• External bank
• Automatching & autocertification)

4. SAP Functional Knowledge (FICO)

A certification is not required, but handson experience is necessary.

Candidate should know:

• SAP FICO basics
• FC Local
• FBL*N reports
• FS10N
• Creation/use of:
• Cost Centers
• Profit Centers
• WBS Elements
• Chart of Accounts

5. Accounting Knowledge Required

Accounting understanding is essential. Candidate must know:

• What general ledger accounts represent
• What bank accounts represent
• Trade payables/receivables
• Classification of receivables/payables (within 1 year, within 5 years)
• How to interpret data before uploading to BlackLine (not a copy-paste task)

6. Role Structure

• Individual Contributor (IC) role, not a team lead position.
• Candidate will not manage people, but will:
• Guide the team
• Provide solutions
• Analyze issues and suggest fixes

7. Work Location Requirements

• First 2 months: Work from office (for training & system understanding)
• After 2 months: Hybrid model (2–3 days office / 2–3 days WFH)
