The Lips category is one of our largest and fastest-growing portfolios, offering significant opportunities for innovation, growth, and consumer engagement.
About the Role
We are looking for a driven and consumer-focused Senior Brand Manager to lead the Faces Canada Lips portfolio end to end. The role involves ownership of business growth, profitability, pricing, product innovation, brand communication, and channel marketing across online and offline platforms.
You will collaborate closely with R&D, sourcing, sales, e-commerce, digital, design, and retail teams to build winning products, strengthen brand positioning, and drive sustainable category growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & P&L Management
- Own revenue, gross margin, and growth targets for the Lips portfolio.
- Monitor sell-in, sell-out, market share, and SKU performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Drive annual and quarterly business planning, including volume and inventory forecasting.
2. Pricing & Portfolio Management
- Develop pricing strategies, pack-price architecture, and promotional plans across channels.
- Track competitor pricing, shade ranges, product formats, and claims.
- Optimise the product portfolio by scaling high-performing SKUs and rationalising underperforming ones.
3. New Product Development (NPD)
- Identify consumer needs and market opportunities across shades, formats, finishes, and product claims.
- Develop product briefs and drive new product launches in collaboration with R&D, sourcing, packaging, and quality teams.
- Own launch timelines, costing, shade selection, and go-to-market plans.
4. Brand Strategy & Communication
- Develop the brand story, positioning, and campaign strategies for the Lips category.
- Brief and collaborate with creative agencies and internal teams on campaigns, packaging, content, and influencer marketing.
- Ensure consistent brand communication across all consumer touchpoints.
5. 360 Channel Marketing – Online & Offline
- Partner with e-commerce and performance marketing teams to improve product listings, ratings, search visibility, advertising, and platform performance across Purplle, Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart, and quick-commerce platforms.
- Drive in-store visibility across Purplle stores, modern trade, and general trade through visual merchandising, gondolas, testers, sampling, and beauty advisor training.
- Plan trade schemes and consumer promotions with sales teams and evaluate marketing spend effectiveness.
Who We’re Looking For
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing from a reputed business school, preferably Tier 1 or Tier 2.
- 1–2 years of post-MBA experience in brand management, category management, or sales, preferably in beauty, cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG.
- Strong interest in makeup, particularly lip products, including formats, finishes, shade trends, and competitor offerings.
- Understanding of business fundamentals, including revenue, pricing, margins, product innovation, and brand communication.
- Exposure to both online marketplaces/D2C platforms and offline retail channels.
- Strong consumer understanding, market awareness, and the ability to translate insights into business opportunities.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of P&L fundamentals.
- Analytical thinking and proficiency in Excel, sales data, and business performance dashboards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and creative briefing skills.
- Strong understanding of beauty trends, consumer behaviour, and influencer-led marketing.
- An eye for aesthetics, packaging, colour trends, and visual merchandising.
- Ownership mindset, agility, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Success Metrics – First 12 Months
- Deliver revenue and gross margin targets for the Lips portfolio.
- Launch 2–3 new products on schedule, with at least one emerging as a hero SKU.
- Establish a consistent brand story across online and offline channels.
- Strengthen digital visibility, product ratings, search rankings, and in-store presence for core SKUs.
- Improve portfolio productivity through effective SKU management.
Why Join Us?
- Lead one of the most visible and high-potential categories within a growing Indian beauty brand.
- Take ownership of business outcomes and product innovation from day one.
- Work cross-functionally across product development, brand marketing, digital commerce, sales, and retail.
- Build products and brand experiences that connect with India's evolving beauty consumers.
Women candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
