Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will own the design, build, and production support of the backend services and APIs that power the care-delivery platform. You will define and scale core architecture for long-term reliability, take features end to end from design through rollout, and work alongside clinical, product, and engineering teams to unify fragmented healthcare services into a single patient experience.

The role is backend-heavy (about 80%), with occasional light frontend work. You will work a 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm IST shift to keep async overlap with US teams, from the Bangalore office on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain production-grade backend services and APIs in Java or Go.
• Own architecture decisions and features end-to-end, from design docs through rollout and on-call.
• Shape engineering culture and balance product velocity against tech debt.
• Work at a growth-stage company with real ownership and end-to-end accountability.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience (5+ for the Senior title).
• Strong hands-on experience building backend systems at product companies.
• Very strong Java or Go, used in your recent production work.
• A backend-focused profile, with at least about 80% backend in recent roles.
• Experience with distributed systems, scale, high-volume or real-time data, or complex integrations.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership: design, rollout, on-call, and incident handling.
• A stable track record and long-term commitment to the roles you take on.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Bangalore, and able to work the 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm IST hybrid shift.
• Strong written communication for async collaboration with US teams.
