Job Summary

Were looking for senior backend engineers to join the engineering team of a US-based B2B e-commerce client. Youll build and scale backend services for a high-traffic commerce platform and work closely with the clients US-based engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Go
• Build event-driven and streaming workflows using Kafka
• Design data models and write efficient queries in PostgreSQL
• Deploy and run services on AWS, focusing on reliability, performance and monitoring
• Work with front-end, product and QA teams on integrations and API contracts
• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions and production support
• Write clean, tested and well-documented code

Must-have skills

• 7+ years of backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang) in production systems
• Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms
• Strong PostgreSQL skills: schema design, query optimization and transactions
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda or similar)
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices
• Solid understanding of concurrency, distributed systems and performance tuning

Good to have

• E-commerce or B2B commerce platform experience
• Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
• CI/CD using GitHub Actions or similar
• Monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sentry or Datadog
• Experience working directly with US clients

Working hours

Must overlap with US Eastern Time until about 2 PM ET (roughly 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM IST). Flexibility for releases or production issues when needed.
