Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

JD Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js / NestJS) role.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable microservices using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Design, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL databases, query performance, and indexing strategies.
• Deploy and support high-availability services on AWS or Tencent Cloud.
• Build clean RESTful/GraphQL APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Conduct code reviews, establish engineering standards, and mentor peers.

Must have

• Familiarity with Next.js and modern frontend development practices
• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong production experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design, query tuning, and indexing.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, EKS, RDS, SQS) or Tencent Cloud (TKE, CDB).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/K8s) and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, caching, and API security.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of AI technologies, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka / RabbitMQ) and Redis.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
