Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience in C#/.NET, Azure, Microservices and REST APIs to drive the onboarding and transition of externally developed backend applications into the GoSelect platform.
The role involves migrating and integrating business logic, APIs, databases, cloud resources and deployment pipelines, while working closely with platform engineering teams, architects and external development partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the onboarding and transition of externally developed backend services and microservices.
- Migrate and integrate C#/.NET applications into the GoSelect platform architecture.
- Migrate and onboard business logic, APIs, databases, storage accounts and Azure cloud resources.
- Modernize and optimize backend services for scalability, reliability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Architects and external vendors during application transition.
- Support CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring and production readiness.
- Drive technical documentation, knowledge transfer and operational handover.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical assessments and transition workshops.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in C# and .NET Core / .NET 8.
- Strong experience with ASP.NET Web API and RESTful services.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Blob Storage / Azure Storage Services.
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB and SQL Server.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD Pipelines.
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Experience with Application Insights, Azure Monitor and logging.
- Good understanding of Unit Testing and Integration Testing.
Microservices & Platform Onboarding
- Experience migrating vendor-managed code repositories into enterprise governance.
- Experience onboarding microservices, APIs, databases, storage accounts and Azure resource groups.
- Ability to assess cloud architecture, security, scalability and operational readiness.
- Experience supporting migration of Azure subscriptions, environments and deployment pipelines.
- Ability to integrate backend services with existing platform services and architecture.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Platform Engineering and Architecture teams.
- Collaborate effectively with external development partners, vendors and SMEs.
- Participate in technical workshops, architecture discussions and application assessments.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, support models and knowledge-transfer plans.
- Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
