Senior Backend Engineer - Full Stack

We are looking for a senior Backend Engineer with 4-6 years of strong hands-on experience in Go, Rust, or Java to design and build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in microservices, distributed systems, system design, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture, along with a strong sense of ownership for production systems. You will work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Design teams to build robust backend services, contribute to architectural decisions, and drive projects from conception to production.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
• Design and implement distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Lead projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering and technical design to development, deployment, and production support.
• Participate in architecture discussions and reviews, making informed technical decisions around scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Break down complex projects into smaller, actionable deliverables and identify technical risks early.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready code.
• Conduct strong code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
• Work with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, taking complete ownership through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Design teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one of Go, Rust, or Java.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, system design, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience building and operating production-grade backend systems.
• Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and production issues from start to finish.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
