Senior Backend Developer - Payments Ecosystem

We're looking for a detail-oriented Senior Backend Developer to join the Payments Ecosystem team. You'll build and maintain backend systems that power payments, working within a microservices architecture, owning features end-to-end, and operating independently in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver new product features end-to-end, from specification through production.
• Actively contribute to system design decisions and propose better implementation approaches.
• Support the product in production by troubleshooting and fixing bugs reported by users and QA.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including QA, product, and DevOps, in a fast-moving Agile environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of backend engineering experience.
• In-depth experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or C#.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Solid grasp of OOP and SOLID principles.
• Experience with multi-threaded, high-performance applications.
• Strong communication skills.
• Comfortable with Agile development and sprint planning.
• Experience building connected, service-oriented applications using gRPC, SOAP, or REST.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Redis, TIBCO, ActiveMQ, or Azure Service Bus.
• Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, SpecFlow, or xBehave.
• Development experience on Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Redis or a similar NoSQL database.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar issue-tracking tools.
• Nice to have: Prior experience in FX, trading, or financial services.
