Senior Automation Engineer Hyderabad, India   This role is based in Hyderabad, India, where you will play a key role in advancing enterprise automation capabilities—moving from fragmented automation to scalable, intelligent, and governed solutions that drive real business impact. This role is primarily based on site. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to deliver high-quality automation solutions. We offer flexibility to work remotely for no more than 20% of your time, depending on business needs.   What you will get An agile career and dynamic working culture An inclusive and ethical workplace Compensation programs that recognize high performance A variety of benefits dependent on role and location The full list of our global benefits can be found here: https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits   What you will do Design, develop, and deploy scalable RPA solutions using Automation Anywhere A360 and related technologies Build low-code/no-code applications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Mendix) to digitize and orchestrate business workflows Integrate automation solutions with enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Office 365) using APIs and middleware Identify automation opportunities through process and task mining, translating insights into high-value solutions Apply software engineering and DevOps practices including CI/CD, testing, and code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, document processes, and ensure successful delivery of automation initiatives Mentor junior engineers and contribute to automation standards, governance, and capability building across the organization   What we are looking for Experience in business process automation with strong exposure to enterprise RPA platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere A360 or similar) Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or .NET, with a solid engineering mindset Hands-on experience with low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, Mendix, or Appian Strong understanding of APIs (REST), databases (SQL), and system integrations Familiarity with process mining or task mining tools (e.g., Signavio, Celonis) Knowledge of SDLC, DevOps practices, and scalable solution design Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; experience in regulated environments (e.g., life sciences, pharmaceuticals) is a plus   About Lonza At Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
