Senior Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer with strong experience in test automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Katalon Studio. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing automation frameworks, developing automated test scripts, executing test cycles, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Perform web application testing using Selenium, Playwright, or Katalon Studio.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and validate functionality.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and quality assurance activities.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.
• Generate test execution reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver OR Playwright OR Katalon Studio.
• Proficiency in Java (preferred) or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in automation framework development (Hybrid, Data-Driven, POM, BDD).
• Hands-on experience with TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD tools.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
