Senior Automation Engineer (Playwright+ Typescript)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright and TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automation testing, API testing, CI/CD integration, and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Design Page Object Model (POM) based automation frameworks and reusable components.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and automation libraries.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Analyze test results, log defects, and work closely with developers for issue resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure test coverage, quality standards, and timely delivery across releases.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, automation reports, and testing documentation.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript programming.
• Expertise in Web Automation Testing.
• Good understanding of Playwright concepts:
• Locators
• Fixtures
• Assertions
• Parallel Execution
• Trace Viewer
• Reporting
• Cross-browser Testing

• Experience with API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, and version control practices.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech domain.
• Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Knowledge of Docker and cloud-based test execution.
• Performance and Security Testing exposure is an added advantage.
