Job Title: Layout & BIM Engineers
Job Description
Layout & BIM plays a key role in developing and managing high-quality telecom and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) designs and models. This position focuses on 2D layout design, advanced BIM workflows, and the creation and maintenance of detailed Revit models and families. The role requires strong technical expertise in BIM procedures and tools, as well as a meticulous approach to data integrity and model quality.
Responsibilities
- Apply an exceptional understanding of BIM procedures, strategies, and workflows to deliver accurate and coordinated models.
- Develop and refine 2D layout designs using AutoCAD for telecom and ELV systems.
- Design and model telecom and ELV systems within a BIM environment, ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards.
- Create, manage, and update parametric Revit families for telecom and ELV components to support consistent and reusable design elements.
- Perform clash detection using BIM collaboration tools such as Navisworks or BIM 360 to identify and resolve conflicts between disciplines.
- Convert point cloud data into detailed BIM models at various Levels of Development (LOD 200u2013500), ensuring geometric accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on model geometry and data integrity to maintain high standards of reliability and usability.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate BIM models and layouts into overall project documentation.
- Maintain organized BIM files and documentation to support efficient project delivery and future updates.
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of BIM procedures, strategies, and workflow.
- Proven experience in 2D layout design using AutoCAD.
- Hands-on experience designing and modeling telecom and ELV systems in a BIM environment.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, preferably with MEP-focused experience.
- Ability to create and manage parametric Revit families for telecom and ELV components.
- Experience performing clash detection using BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks or BIM 360.
- Capability to convert point cloud data into detailed BIM models at LOD 200u2013500.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on model geometry and data integrity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Autodesk Recap for point cloud processing.
- Familiarity with BIM 360 or similar cloud-based BIM collaboration platforms.
- Comfort working with telecom and ELV design standards and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot modeling and coordination issues.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
Work Environment
