Our Client an ambitious player in the metallurgical coke industry needs
Post : Senior Associate Business Operations
Location : Mumbai /Dharwad, Karnataka
Experience : Min 2 years in operations, supply chain or procurement in a heavy industry setting
Qualification : MBA / Engineering background is a plus.
Salary : 20 LPA
Immediate Joiners Preferred Client willing to buy out notice period. Candidate should be willing to travel to Dharwad Factory
Job Profile
- Supply Chain Build-Out
Design and operationalize procurement and logistics processes for coal, consumables, and spares from vendor identification to delivery tracking.
- Vendor Development
Identify, onboard, and manage vendors and contractors. Negotiate terms, evaluate performance, and build a robust supplier base for plant operations.
- Procurement Systems
Set up SOPs, purchase order workflows, and inventory management systems from scratch documenting processes as you build them.
- Operations Coordination
Liaise between plant teams, logistics partners, and corporate leadership. Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and status updates for senior stakeholders.
- Compliance & Contracts
Support contract review, statutory compliance tracking, and audit-readiness for procurement and operations functions.
- Cross-Functional Support
Work across maintenance, finance, and HR to support the plant's
Additional Requirements
- Industry Fit: Steel, Power, Cement, Mining, or allied sectors. Met coke or coke oven exposure is a strong advantage.
- Tools: MS Excel (intermediate to advanced); familiarity with ERP or procurement tools is a bonus.
- Mobility: Must be comfortable with travel to the Dharwad, Karnataka site as required.
- Languages: English and Hindi; Kannada is an advantage for site interactions.
