Senior Area Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sales and business operations for the assigned area/territory and achieve sales targets.
• Lead and manage a team of ASM, SO and Senior Sales Executives.
• Develop and strengthen the distributor/dealer network to increase market reach.
• Drive primary & secondary sales, distribution, outlet coverage and market penetration.
• Identify opportunities for new distributor appointments and territory expansion.
• Maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers and retailers.
• Monitor distributor stock, sales, collections, schemes and overall performance.
• Plan and execute market visits, sales campaigns, promotions and product visibility initiatives.
• Track competitor activities, pricing, schemes and market trends.
• Set team targets, review performance and coach the sales team to achieve business objectives.
• Analyse sales reports and identify gaps and growth opportunities.
• Ensure effective execution of company sales strategies and trade schemes.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate; MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred.
• 812 years of experience in FMCG Sales, preferably in Tea, Beverages, Food, Dairy or related categories.
• Strong experience in General Trade and Distributor Management.
• Experience handling large territories/areas or multiple districts.
• Proven experience managing a field sales team including ASM/SO/Sr. Sales Executives.
• Strong understanding of distribution, secondary sales, retail coverage and market expansion.
• Good leadership, communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
