Senior Architect

ROLE PURPOSE

The Senior Architect will support design development, project coordination, drawing review, site interpretation and consultant coordination. The candidate must be experienced, technically strong and able to guide junior staff where required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, review and coordinate architectural drawings.
• Review design details and ensure drawings are accurate and buildable.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Support project managers and site teams with technical clarifications.
• Attend design and project meetings.
• Review contractor submissions where required.
• Ensure architectural work complies with approved standards and project requirements.
• Support site inspections and resolve design-related site issues.
• Prepare reports and updates for management where required.
• Mentor junior architects and support internal design quality.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 15 years architectural experience.
• Strong experience in commercial, institutional, hospitality or large-scale building projects.
• Strong technical drawing and detailing ability.
• Experience with reputable architecture, engineering or construction firms.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, project managers and contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Degree in Architecture.
• Relevant professional registration/accreditation required.
• ARCON/NIA registration or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
• Other relevant certifications will be an advantage.

KEY SKILLS

• Strong architectural design and detailing.

• Good knowledge of construction methods.
• Strong AutoCAD/Revit or relevant design software ability.
