Senior AppOps Engineer

Role Overview - 

The candidate will provide application and application operations support directly to our customers, ensuring smooth operations, quick issue resolution, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities -

• Deliver L2/L3 application support for business-critical systems.
• Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for application issues.
• Monitor application of health and performance using appropriate tools.
• Handle deployment activities, configuration changes, and patch updates.
• Analyze and interpret application logs to resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and maintain high availability of applications.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong SQL skills: Ability to write complex queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Strong Linux/Unix scripting: Proficient in shell scripting for automation and support tasks.
• Hands-on experience in application monitoring tools and log analysis.
• Expertise in troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of deployment processes and version control.
• Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, Apache, WebLogic, etc.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment, including rotational shifts.

Must have:

• AWS Cloud experience for application hosting and troubleshooting.
• Docker and Kubernetes knowledge for containerization and orchestration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial domain applications or similar enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
