Senior - Application Developer (Archer)

Job Summary

• The Senior Application Developer builds, maintains and configures applications to ensure business needs are met. Most will specialize in a specific application domain such as web, mobile, client-server, data, or mainframe development, focused on supporting specific business capabilities. Senior Application Developers will have in-depth knowledge of at least one and ideally two or more programming languages. The role would entail collaborating with a variety of partner application teams that utilize technologies such as Java, COBOL, Angular, Salesforce, MuleSoft, .NET, Informatica, SQL, iOS, and Android.

Essential Job Functions

• Manage implementation of technology solutions using the software development lifecycle to enhance applications. Validate requirements converted into technical designs and application code. Lead design specifications, including interfaces and outputs. Ensure quality checks of application code and configurations based on these specifications. Offer technical on-call support as needed - (30%)
• Develop and enhance applications through the software development lifecycle by translating requirements into technical designs and code. Create design specifications, write and configure application code, and execute unit tests. Remediate errors, review code quality, and enforce coding standards. Estimate work and improve applications and processes for quality and efficiency. - (25%)
• Provide peer coaching and feedback formally and informally. Request and utilize feedback to foster personal development. Cultivate relationships across roles and organizations to maximize collaboration, partnership, and efficiency. - (20%)
• Work primarily autonomously while demonstrating appreciable business knowledge within the general financial services and marketing domains. Strive to influence the team to generate support to achieve desired business outcomes - (25%)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
• 1 cloud certification- AWS cloud practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Google Cloud- Cloud Digital Leader
• 5-8 years Programming language(s) specified (e.g. COBOL, Java)

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience preferred in evaluating and improving Code Quality / Standards
