Senior Ansible Engineer

Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for infrastructure automation

Automate provisioning, configuration management, patching, and deployment activities

Work with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) / Tower for job orchestration

Integrate Ansible with tools like ServiceNow, Splunk, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines

Design reusable and scalable automation frameworks

Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of automation workflows

Ensure best practices such as idempotency, error handling, tagging, and version control

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities

Create documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer sessions

Additional Responsibilities:

Strong hands-on experience with Ansible

Good knowledge of Linux/Unix administration

Experience with YAML, Jinja2 templating, and Git

Understanding of REST APIs and integrations

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Bash/PowerShell)

Technical and Professional Requirements:

Ansible Collections - Build and manage structured, reusable automation components.

AWX / Ansible Tower (AAP) - Configure job templates, workflows, RBAC, and credentials.

CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) - Integrate Ansible into automated pipelines.

Vault Tools (Ansible Vault, HashiCorp Vault) - Secure secrets and sensitive variables.

Cloud & Platform Modules - Automate AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, Kubernetes resources.
