Senior Analytics Specialist

The Analytics Specialist will be asked to work closely with leaders on the Reservations team to develop creative solutions to current challenges. We are looking for data-curious individuals who seek to understand processes and can connect with our business partners to leverage data and drive improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Reservations teams to identify and solve opportunities within the division.
• Create insightful executive-level and frontline dashboards using data visualization tools.
• Develop analytics solutions to divisional challenges and operationalize with a modern tool set.
• Forecast future operational metrics and work with business units to include them in their planning and execution processes.
• Improve the historic processes within the division by implementing data-driven solutions.
• Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models, and project development.
• Support development of executive-level decks and present findings to business leadership.
• Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in analysis, data visualization, or another relevant quantitative field.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information science, business/management, mathematics/statistics, economics, or another relevant quantitative field.
• Ability to query data from databases using SQL: Expert and SAS, professional, and build views for consumption.
• Use of data visualization tools like Tableau (preferred) or Power BI to build dashboards and reporting for business users.
• Exposure to forecasting methods to predict future performance and identify trends.
• Direct experience communicating with stakeholders, delivering projects end-to-end, and working collaboratively to drive improvement in the overall analytical support of Delta operations worldwide.
• Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings.
• Track record of seeking leadership roles, including student and community organizations.

Preferred Qualification:

• Cloud experience with AWS is preferred.
• Previous experience in an operational role.
• Knowledge of Crew (FOP/IFS) operation and data.
