Senior Analyst, Secondary Loan Trade Servicing
We are seeking a Senior Analyst to manage the settlement and servicing of complex secondary loan trades, ensuring accurate execution of post-trade activities and seamless transition of transactions across servicing platforms, including ClearPar and Loan IQ. The role is responsible for resolving complex settlement issues and escalations, overseeing critical trade lifecycle events, providing subject matter expertise on secondary loan trading operations, and supporting a strong control environment through effective risk management, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
Roles and responsibilities
- Own settlement and servicing of complex trades, including distressed, partially funded, delayed-draw and PIK positions, and trades with interest or fee cut-off complexities
- Review trade documentation and assignment agreements for servicing requirements, and validate facility and position set-up in Loan IQ
- Resolve escalated settlement breaks, funding discrepancies and agent or counterparty disputes; perform root cause analysis
- Review and sign off funding memos, position reconciliations and accrual adjustments
- Operate within the control framework (3 Lines of Defense, KRIs) and support audit and regulatory reviews
- Coach analysts, maintain SOPs and monitor settlement turnaround against LSTA timelines
- Liaise with the banks trading desk, middle office, finance and the ClearPar platform team
Experience and qualification
- 4 to 7 years of experience in secondary loan trade settlement and servicing
- Strong Loan IQ and ClearPar expertise
- Deep knowledge of LSTA documentation and par and distressed settlement mechanics
- Degree in finance, commerce or a related field; MBA, CA, CFA or equivalent preferred
- Mentoring experience
