Senior AI Platform Software Engineer

Job Description

• Design and implement high-performance RESTful or GraphQL APIs to expose AI model functionality
• Integrate LLMs using Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry and custom ML models into backend architectures
• Use frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, FastAPI for AI orchestration
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Azure AI Search) for RAG
• Deploy and manage services using Docker and Kubernetes across cloud platforms, with strong focus on Microsoft Azure (AKS, Azure ML, Azure AI Foundry)
• Implement real-time monitoring & alerting for model performance, latency, and drift (LLMs + traditional ML)
• Design testing strategies for non-deterministic AI outputs, including guardrails and safety constraints
• Own the end-to-end development lifecycle in a SaaS environment (code quality, SLOs, incident response)
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Mentor engineers in AI engineering best practices (GenAI + classical ML)
• Conduct code reviews and provide structured feedback
• Follow Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and security practices
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in software engineering / backend systems
• 2–3 years of AI experience (LLMs, RAG pipelines, API-based AI systems, microservices)
• Strong experience with Azure AI ecosystem (Azure AI Foundry, Azure ML, AKS)
• Hands-on expertise in LangChain, FastAPI, Kubernetes, cloud platforms
• Experience with Generative AI + traditional ML algorithms (e.g., Random Forest, regression, classification)
• Strong programming and system design skills
• Advanced knowledge of backend development and software engineering practices
