Job Overview

Grid Dynamics is looking for an experienced Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer to design, develop, customize, and maintain high-performing enterprise web applications and digital experience solutions. You will work closely with architects, cross-functional engineering teams, and enterprise clients to drive modern AEM implementations and cloud migrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Development: Build and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x & AEM as a Cloud Service).
• Component & Template Engineering: Develop reusable AEM components, editable templates, dialogs, custom workflows, Content Fragment Models, and Experience Fragments.
• Backend Architecture: Design and develop Sling Models, OSGi services, servlets, schedulers, custom workflow steps, and event listeners.
• Integrations & APIs: Implement seamless RESTful API integrations between AEM and external enterprise systems, platforms, or third-party services.
• Frontend & Headless Capabilities: Build responsive UI components using HTL/Sightly, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, and GraphQL for Content Fragments / SPA architecture.
• Dispatcher & Cloud Configuration: Configure and optimize AEM Dispatcher, caching rules, rewrite rules, and replication agent settings.
• Testing & DevOps: Write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, and support automated CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Manager and Git.
• Migration & Upgrades: Assist in modernizing and migrating legacy on-premise AEM 6.x instances to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).

Key Requirements & Skills

Must-Have Skills:

• Experience: 4 to 8 years of overall IT software development experience with extensive hands-on AEM experience.
• Core Stack: Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, JCR, Apache Sling, OSGi, HTL/Sightly, and AEM Workflows.
• Web Tech & APIs: Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Git.
• Deployment & Web Server: Deep understanding of AEM Dispatcher configurations, caching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Methodology: Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Good-to-Have / Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) and Cloud Manager.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Assets (DAM), Content Fragments, and GraphQL queries.
• Familiarity with React / Single Page Application (SPA) Editor framework.
• Exposure to Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, or Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
• Prior experience in enterprise BFSI, Financial Services, or E-commerce domains.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
