Senior Accounts Payable Manager

Role & responsibilities

Experience: 10+ years in end to end AP function in BFSI industry and exposure to Oracle Fusion ERP

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.

2. Oversee the complete Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including invoice validation, accounting, approvals, payment processing and vendor reconciliation.

3. Manage vendor payments through banking platforms, including preparation, validation and execution of payment batches.

4. Ensure timely compliance with TDS and GST requirements relating to vendor transactions.

5. Review and monitor TDS deductions, TDS returns and related reconciliations.

6. Perform and oversee GST Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation, including reconciliation between books, purchase registers and GST data.

7. Ensure compliance with MSME payment requirements, including identification of MSME vendors, ageing monitoring and timely payments.

8. Prepare and review vendor payment MIS, ageing reports and other AP-related management reports.

9. Monitor outstanding vendor balances and ensure timely resolution of long-pending items.

10. Establish appropriate controls over vendor creation, invoice processing, approvals and payments.

11. Coordinate with vendors, procurement, business teams, tax teams, treasury and other stakeholders for resolution of AP-related matters.

12. Drive process improvements, automation and strengthening of AP controls.

13. Review AP reconciliations and ensure timely closure of outstanding items.

14. Support internal, statutory and regulatory audits by providing AP-related schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents.

15. Manage and guide junior members of the AP team.
