Senior Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements, ledgers, trial balance, and bank reconciliation statements.
• Manage GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory accounting compliances.
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other applicable statutory returns.
• Perform regular reconciliation of bank, customer, vendor, GST, and ledger accounts.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up with concerned teams.
• Verify invoices, vouchers, purchase bills, expense claims, and supporting documents.
• Support year-end closing, audit activities, and preparation of financial reports.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely correction.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 36 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Good knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime and MS Excel.
• Experience in bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, receivables, payables, and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
