Senior Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting and books of accounts in Tally Prime.
• Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment, journal, debit note and credit note entries.
• Prepare and maintain purchase and sales registers.
• Handle complete GST compliance, including GST return preparation and filing.
• Perform GST reconciliation and verify Input Tax Credit (ITC).
• Handle TDS calculation, deduction, payment and TDS return filing.
• Maintain vendor, customer and ledger accounts and conduct regular reconciliation.
• Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable and outstanding balances.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for all accounting and statutory transactions.
• Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities.
• Assist in year-end closing and finalization of accounts.
• Coordinate with auditors, CA, tax consultants and other external agencies.
• Provide necessary documents and information for audit and statutory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable GST, TDS, Income Tax and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare required MIS reports, statements and financial data for management.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all financial and company records.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification.
• Strong practical knowledge of Tally Prime.
• Good knowledge of GST, GST Returns and TDS Returns.
• Knowledge of year-end finalization and
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and accouaudit procedures.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.nting skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet statutory deadlines.
