Senior Accountant

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Create and record complex journal entries in accordance with GAAP, with supporting documentation and an understanding of the financial statement impact.

• Reconcile, research, and resolve complex general ledger accounts to minimize risk and protect company assets, while documenting findings for management.

• Perform comprehensive research and analysis and present and explain results.

• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, establish best practices, and formulate solutions to improve efficiencies and automation.

• Handle special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum four (4) years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with Power BI is a must.
• Timeshare / Hospitality industry experience a plus
• Public Accounting experience a plus.
• Process Improvement experience a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Excel at an intermediate or higher level.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, detail-orientated and the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral).
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to establish productive relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ability to exercise judgment, handle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent problem-solving skills.
