Senior Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
• Preparing monthly reports.
• Account payables
• Accounts receivables
• Present and report accurate and timely historical financial information.
• Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Preparing financial reports
• Performing account reconciliations
• Maintaining the general ledger
• Preparing tax returns
• Prepare Daily, Weekly, Monthly budgets
• Maintain Petty cash and digital wallets
• Banking duties
• Payroll
• Performing other accounting duties as assigned.
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA qualification
• Minimum 3-8 years experience
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
• Ability to train and manage staff.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Have managerial/leadership skills and experience
• Experience in liaising with auditors, banks, and other bodies.
• Ability to mentor and motivate other staff
• Knowledge in Various accounting platforms such as Tally, SAP, ZOHO, etc..
• Experience worked in an Audit Firm
• Ability to keep up with latest financial trends, developments, and theories
• Knowledge of finance laws, regulations, and rules
• Ability to create and assess financial statements and budget documents
