Senior Accountant - Real Estate / Property Development -RERA

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the real estate industry and hands-on knowledge of RERA-related accounting and compliance. The candidate will manage day-to-day accounting, project-wise financial records, statutory compliance, reconciliations, taxation, MIS reporting, and provide accurate financial information to management.

Candidates with prior experience in real estate developers/builders will be preferred.

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Maintain project-wise books of accounts, cost tracking, expenses, collections, and financial records for real estate projects.
• Handle accounting and financial documentation related to RERA-registered projects.
• Track and reconcile customer collections, booking amounts, instalments, cancellations, refunds, and outstanding receivables.
• Coordinate and maintain records required for RERA compliance, audits, certifications, and periodic reporting.
• Monitor project costs, contractor/vendor payments, purchase bills, work orders, and supporting documentation.
• Handle bank reconciliations and maintain accurate bank and cash records.
• Manage statutory compliance relating to GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes, including preparation of supporting data for returns.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, cash-flow statements, P&L, balance sheet schedules, receivables/payables reports, and project-wise financial reports.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing of accounts and coordinate with auditors, Chartered Accountants, banks, consultants, vendors, customers, and internal teams.
• Support management with budgeting, cash-flow planning, cost monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documentation for statutory, internal, and RERA audits.

B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.

• RERA Expertise Required
• Practical experience in accounting and financial compliance for RERA-registered real estate projects.
• Maintaining project-wise financial records and fund utilisation details.
• Preparing and coordinating financial data and documentation required for RERA filings, audits, and CA certifications.
• Tracking project collections, expenditure, withdrawals, and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable RERA requirements.
