Senior Accountant or Controller -U.S Accounting

Job Role & responsibilities:-

• Own day-to-day accounting and controllership for the management company.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, schedules, and management reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, audit, and tax processes.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and accurate books and records.
• Improve accounting processes, reporting, and workflows; automate manual processes where practical.
• Support the Staholders with financial analysis, special projects, and ad hoc requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators, and other external providers.
• Review work of junior or outsourced accounting staff where applicable, while remaining directly involved in execution.

Key Skills, Experience Qualification required:-

• Qualified CA (India) strongly preferred; CPA or equivalent also relevant.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience, preferably including hedge funds, asset management, investment management, or U.S.-focused accounting.
• Strong financial accounting and financial statement preparation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks or a similar accounting package.
• Excellent Excel skills, including PivotTables and advanced formulas.
• Experience improving accounting processes and using technology or automation to increase efficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. regulatory, or audit experience is a plus.
• Highly proactive, resourceful, analytical, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently, solve unfamiliar problems, and get things done without excessive supervision
