About this role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Account Manager Conferencing based in the United States.
This is a strategic client-facing role managing a portfolio of conferencing customers across the U.S. and Europe. You will serve as the primary relationship owner, ensuring clients receive exceptional service while maximizing retention and long-term value. The role combines account management, customer success, consultative selling, and project coordination within a highly collaborative technology environment. You will identify renewal and expansion opportunities while translating client needs into actionable product and service improvements. Working closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Sales, you will influence the roadmap and support major enterprise opportunities and RFPs. Success will require strong relationship-building, technical curiosity, commercial awareness, and the ability to work independently across a global team. Accountabilities:: Act as the primary liaison and trusted point of contact between assigned clients and internal teams, ensuring strong relationships and consistently high customer satisfaction.
Own and manage client contracts, ensuring requirements, deliverables, milestones, and associated timelines are clearly understood and successfully achieved.
Drive client renewals and proactively identify opportunities to expand accounts through additional products, services, or longer-term engagements.
Maintain regular communication with client stakeholders in a professional, responsive, and relationship-oriented manner.
Develop a strong understanding of the product and services portfolio to independently resolve minor issues, prioritize requests, and escalate more complex matters appropriately.
Gather and document client business requirements for new features, enhancements, and service improvements.
Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the client relationship and increase the value delivered through the platform.
Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to communicate customer feedback, inform product priorities, and contribute to the technology roadmap.
Collaborate with Sales on new opportunities, bids, and RFP responses, particularly for multi-year and enterprise-level clients.
Define, monitor, and analyze customer success metrics and account performance indicators, using insights to improve client outcomes and support broader business objectives.
Coordinate effectively across multiple functions and contribute to other initiatives supporting a highly collaborative global organization.
Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across different organizations, disciplines, and geographic regions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant education.
6–7 years of relevant experience in account management, customer success, consultative sales, or a closely related client-facing role.
Professional experience within the conferencing, academic, scholarly communications, association, or related technology industry.
Strong client relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust, understand customer needs, and deliver a high-quality service experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organization and attention to detail.
Strong service orientation and a natural ability to cultivate and maintain long-term professional relationships.
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and maintain effective communication with globally distributed colleagues.
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly understand and become proficient with new software platforms and technologies.
Ability to translate client requirements and feedback into clear business and product needs.
Commercial awareness and the ability to identify account growth, renewal, and expansion opportunities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.
Willingness and ability to travel locally, domestically, and potentially internationally when business conditions and travel requirements permit.
Experience working in a startup or high-growth technology environment is preferred.
Experience selling, managing, implementing, or developing technical products or services is preferred.
