Role Description The Security Guard role at Peregrine Guarding is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Security Guard is responsible for safeguarding people, property, and assets by monitoring premises, controlling access points, and conducting regular patrols. Daily tasks include checking identification, managing visitor entry, ensuring compliance with security procedures, and reporting any suspicious activity or security breaches. The role involves responding to alarms and incidents, maintaining accurate logs and incident reports, and coordinating with supervisors and client representatives as needed. The Security Guard is expected to deliver professional customer service, follow all safety guidelines, and uphold Peregrine's standards of integrity and reliability.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and customer service abilities to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and team members.
• Candidates should possess physical security skills, including access control, surveillance, patrolling, and emergency response capabilities.
• Candidates should possess personnel and private security skills, with experience in protecting individuals, enforcing security policies, and managing sensitive situations.
• Candidates should possess basic report writing and communication skills to document incidents clearly and follow instructions accurately.
• Relevant experience as a security guard or in a similar protection role is preferred, along with familiarity with security equipment and systems (CCTV, alarms, access control).
• Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods, work in shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays), and remain calm under pressure.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is desirable; formal security training or certification and local regulatory licenses are an advantage.
