Role- Sector Head (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene)

Experience: 15+ Years

Location: Mumbai

Qualification: Masters in Civil/Environmental/Water Resources/Public Health Engineering (MBA/Management qualification preferred)

Position Summary:

The Sector Head WASH will lead the organizations Water, Sanitation & Hygiene practice, providing strategic, technical, and operational leadership. This role involves driving sector excellence, overseeing project delivery, mentoring teams, strengthening client relationships, and positioning the organization as a leader in the WASH domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the WASH sector (domestic & international).
• Provide technical leadership across water supply, sewerage, sanitation, and wastewater projects.
• Ensure quality, timely delivery, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Drive business development by engaging clients, tracking sector trends, and identifying opportunities.
• Mentor and build a high-performing technical team, fostering knowledge sharing and innovation.
• Represent the organization in high-level meetings, conferences, and government/multilateral forums.
• Develop thought leadership through white papers, publications, and industry presentations.
• Promote innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement across WASH projects.
• Ensure compliance with government programs (JJM, AMRUT, SBM) and multilateral-funded projects.
• Uphold safety, quality, and statutory norms while embedding a zero-incident culture.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 15+ years of experience in the WASH sector with reputed infrastructure consulting firms.
• Proven expertise in DPRs, PMC, design, technical advisory, and project management.
• Strong knowledge of government programs and multilateral projects.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to drive organizational excellence and build client confidence.
