Section Engineer Recycled Waste AFR Section - Belgaum

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for safe, reliable and continuous AFR operation.
• Responsible for AFR unloading, storage, segregation, shredding, screening and feeding.
• Responsible for maximum AFR feeding and shredding to achieve targeted TSR.
• Monitor AFR quality including NCV, moisture, ash and particle size.
• Optimize AFR feeding without affecting kiln stability and clinker quality.
• Ensure reliability of shredder, screen, trommel, ballistic separator, ADS/wind shifter, conveyors and feeding systems.
• Analyze breakdowns and implement RCA and permanent corrective actions.
• Coordinate with CCR/Pyro, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Quality and Safety teams.
• Drive AFR cost reduction, coal/petcoke substitution and TSR improvement.
• Monitor kiln, preheater, cooler, quality & process parameters for stable operation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, SOP and statutory requirements.
• Monitor and report AFR consumption, TSR, equipment availability and cost performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and AFR development initiatives for cost reduction.
• Prepare and review daily/monthly MIS, production, AFR, TSR and SHC reports.
• Analyze Plan vs. Actual performance, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Basic knowledge of SAP for operational and maintenance-related activities.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure timely closure/compliance of observations in SAP.
• Maintain proper operational records, MIS and performance data for management review.
