Secondary Social Science Teacher

Role & responsibilities

• Teach Social Studies (History, Geography, Civics, and related subjects) to Secondary school students, following the Orchids curriculum.
• Deliver interactive and engaging lessons aligned with pre-defined lesson plans while adhering to the Orchids teaching methodology.
• Assess student progress through assignments, projects, classwork, and examinations.
• Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
• Update and maintain accurate academic records on the school's online portal.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance, progress, and areas of improvement.
• Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher meetings, training programs, and school events.
• Integrate digital tools and innovative teaching strategies to enhance classroom learning.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Social Studies or a related field.
• Mandatory: B.Ed.
• Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience in Social Studies.
• Experience in a CBSE school will be an added advantage.
• Female candidates only.
