Job Summary

Orchids International School is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to deliver engaging lessons, develop students’ geographical understanding, and promote critical thinking and environmental awareness.

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Geography lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
• Teach physical geography, human geography, climate, resources, and environmental issues.
• Develop students map-reading, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and teaching resources.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback and remedial support.
• Maintain classroom discipline and encourage active student participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate student progress to parents.
• Participate in academic meetings, school events, and professional development programmes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Geography or a relevant subject.
• B.Ed. in Social Science/Geography or an equivalent recognised qualification, as applicable.
• Relevant secondary school teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the applicable school curriculum and digital teaching tools is desirable
