Secondary Biology Teacher

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons for middle and secondary school students.
• Explain concepts using practical examples, activities, experiments, and visual learning methods.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, assessments, and teaching resources.
• Conduct laboratory activities and ensure students follow proper safety procedures.
• Assess students' academic progress through tests, assignments, projects, and class participation.
• Identify students who need additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.
• Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and develop scientific curiosity.
• Participate in school events, exhibitions, projects, and academic activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and development.
• Maintain student records and complete academic documentation as required.
• Collaborate with other teachers and coordinators to ensure effective curriculum delivery.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Biology / Zoology / Botany / Life Sciences or a relevant field.
• B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred, depending on the school's requirements.
• 25 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of Biology concepts and curriculum.
• Experience teaching CBSE or a similar curriculum will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Good classroom management and student-handling abilities.
• Passion for teaching and willingness to use innovative teaching methodologies
