About this role
- Manage and maintain ship equipment and machinery.
- Assist the chief engineer in navigating and operating the vessel.
- Monitor and control engine performance and fuel consumption.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other crew members to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in emergency drills and training exercises.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an engineer on a merchant ship.
- Strong knowledge of ship handling and navigation systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
