Search Engine Optimization Intern

A support role for the senior digital marketing manager, spanning SEO execution, emerging AEO/GEO work, and light content/social support.

SEO, AEO & GEO

• Keyword research, competitor analysis, search intent mapping
• On-page/off-page SEO execution (metadata, internal linking, schema)
• Supporting AI-driven discoverability work optimizing content for AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), not just traditional search
• Tracking website performance and flagging growth opportunities using SEO tools

Content Marketing

• Assisting on SEO-friendly content for blogs, landing pages, campaigns
• Coordinating with writers/designers to keep content aligned with brand tone
• Supporting readability/engagement optimization on existing content

Social Media Support

• Light day-to-day social media assistance and trend monitoring
• Supporting content distribution across platforms

What we look for

• No prior experience required, but real (even self-taught) familiarity with SEO fundamentals and tools (Google Search Console, GA, Ahrefs/SEMrush or equivalent)
• Strong, clean writing. This role sits close to content, and writing quality is a direct signal of fit.
• Genuine curiosity about AI-driven search (AEO/GEO specifically)
• High attention to detail, especially with AI-assisted tasks
• Comfortable working independently in a flexible, low-structure, remote setup with informal communication (WhatsApp/Slack-first)
• Uses AI as a tool, not a crutch
